My third oldest daughter is away at college so we were minus one this year but it was still a wild and crazy time!
Our Thanksgiving Menu was as follows:
Macaroni N Cheese
Sweet Potato Casserole
We make most of the food on Wednesday except the Turkeys, it makes for a more fun and less stressful Thanksgiving for me. Each one of my girls are assigned a dish, which also makes for a less stressful day before Thanksgiving.
I love Thanksgiving! It is my favorite holiday. The expectations are so low. I don’t have to spend days buying the right gifts, wrapping and decorating. It is really all about family time and eating and being thankful for family and having food to eat.
Our day starts out with a big breakfast and watching the parade. I was so glad the floats were able to fly this year.
Not sure what was on when this was taken, maybe the “Kinky Boots” dance!
After the parade, we went to our local hospital and delivered boxes of goodies to those who have to work on a holiday when many are at home enjoying themselves.
It was fun and we always love getting the stares and questions.
After we return home it is an afternoon filled with snacking on a homemade cheese ball that is out of this world, crackers, chips, salsa, Flaming Hot Cheetos and picture taking. My girls love taking picture of each other and I think a little of themselves. Here are just a few:
