Dinner Ideas

I have decided to start a new series.

DINNER IDEAS

I have been trying out a lot of new recipes and am always cooking the old ones so I thought I would let you know what we had for dinner and where I got the recipe. At least when it is good and worth making! HAHA!

The cheese enchiladas are delicious and you could add ground beef or chicken if you wanted.

I have been searching high and low for a recipe for Authentic Spanish Rice like you get at the Mexican restaurant.

This is the closest I have come. It really is good, a little spicy, I will probably go lighter on the chili pepper next time and maybe add some corn.

And I have come up with a solution to our busy baseball schedule and my children getting a hot supper.

I found these cute little bento boxes at Walmart. They come in a pack of 2 for like $4!

And they even come with their own fork and knife! How cool is that! Hot Dinner on the Go, no fast food required!

I really really don’t like clutter and when you live in a home with 15 other people, clutter creeps up on you very quickly. I am constantly fighting “hotspots” as Flylady would call them.  Everything has a place in my home but everyone doesn’t always put everything in its place. I have found scissors in [...]

Tagzedo Anyone?

tagxedo 2

A Friend just introduced me to tagxedo.com-word clouds with style. Tagxedo turns words — famous speeches, news articles, slogans and themes, even your love letters — into a visually stunning word cloud, words individually sized appropriately to highlight the frequencies of occurrence within the body of text. Here is a few of my blog! You can [...]

Pancakes from Scratch

Plagiarism

Plagiarism We all know what it is and maybe even some of us have committed it, on a high school paper or even a resume. One of the first things my oldest children learned when they went to college is if they committed plagiarism they would be kicked out of school. My 8th grade daughter [...]

Doritos Taco Salad without dishes!

Every Sunday evening we host a “Home Group” in our home. We’ve gone through several Bible Studies, with the current one being, “Christian” by Andy Stanley. This home group consists of all my older girls along with some of their friends. Can I tell you how discouraged I have become over the lack of attention [...]

A Quick Mouse Pad

DSC_0960

So I was surfing the web the other day looking for a new crafty project when I came across a post on creating your own mouse pad. The wheels began turning as I use a mouse with my laptop cause I just hate using the touch pad! I have a mouse but I am usually [...]

Family Room Makeover

DSC_0913

When you have a family as big as ours it is a good idea to have a big comfortable family room. We moved into this home a little over a year ago and I cannot say our family room was family comfortable. I had to dig back through some old pictures but finally found one [...]
